Lumeni Candle Company is a small business in Columbus, Ohio that specializes in making hand-poured scented soy candles. Our mission is to provide high-quality products that our customers are excited to display in their homes and share with their loved ones.
Why choose us?
Our candles are made from American sourced soy wax. Unlike paraffin wax, which is used by many large retailers and is made from petroleum, soy wax is made from the oil of soybeans which means it derived from plants.
All our fragrances are phthalate free. Phthalates are chemicals that are used in the production of plastic products as well as some personal care products to enhance the fragrance. Studies have shown that exposure to phthalates can negatively affect health.
Our candles are hand-crafted in small batches and made with materials chosen for their quality, safety, and durability.
Meet the Owner
Hello,
My name is Rachel, and I am the owner and creator of Lumeni Candle Company. My love for burning candles in my home and my “I can do that” attitude sparked my idea for creating my own candles. The first time I tried my hand at making candles was for a gift for a friend, and let’s just say it is not as easy as it looks. Feeling disheartened, I did countless hours of research and learned that candle making is truly a form of art that requires close attention to detail. Unwilling accept defeat, I kept trying until I got it right. In the meantime, I fell in love with the process and found making candles to be a great way to unwind after a stressful day. I truly find joy in sharing my creations with others and seeing their reactions when they find a scent they love. Simply put, a lumen is a basic unit for measuring brightness. The name Lumeni was chosen because this is my source of light in what can sometimes be a dark world. I hope you enjoy your candles as much as I enjoy creating them!
